#Oshbash 2018!

If you’re an #Avgeek attending EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018, ink Airplanista’s annual social media meetup event on your schedule right now. #Oshbash is where people who love aviation as much as they love technology and social media hang out, chat with old friends and make some new ones. Come and meet some of the people you see online every day, and put faces to names. This is a HUGE networking opportunity, so bring your business cards and polish your elevator speech, because you never know who may be at #Oshbash. That person you are chatting up just might be a well-known podcaster or magazine writer, or that sweet Angel Investor your startup has been trying to find.

Tues, July 24, 5:30 PM
Press Tent, EAA AirVenture

The focus of #Oshbash 2018 will be on aviation entrepreneurs and advocates…anyone who has a small business, people who run a non-profit to help grow aviation, or someone who runs a program to interest millennials in STEM education and aviation careers. We’ll find a few of you, get you up on stage and let you tell the audience about what you’re up to. If you're interested in being interviewed, please scroll to the bottom of this page and contact Dan ASAP as the available interview slots will fill up very fast.

#Oshbash Social Media Meetup

We will be inviting aviation podcasters, new media creatives, print journalists, aviation social media rock stars, "A" list aerobatic performers, video producers and aviation radio personalities to #Oshbash 2018. But this event is for ANYONE who uses Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Youtube, Snapchat or Instagram to tell their aviation story. Whether you post once a week, or spend the majority of your day as a professional on aviation social channels, you will be sure to find others who share your passion for aviation social media at this event. Come and put faces to names, and chat in "real-time" with no 280-character limit or need to shorten URLs.

Come for the networking, stay for the BACON!

This year, we will be offering a selection of incredible BACON JERKY flavors for your snacking enjoyment while attending #Oshbash. It will be a great way for #Avgeeks to get their bacon fix, without all the usual mess of actually cooking real bacon. This is the extremely popular Bacon Jerky from Pork Barrel BBQ, as seen on ABC's Beyond the [Shark] Tank television show!

Major 2018 #Oshbash sponsors are:

Door Prizes!

ForeFlight is showing their support for aviation social media with the donation of a $499 Sentry ADS-B Portable Receiver as one of this year's main #Oshbash door prizes. Be sure to stop by their booth at Hangar C3137-3139 and thank them for this awesome donation. Must be present to win, drawing takes place at 7P in the Press Tent.

Through the generosity of Sporty's, someone wil leave #Oshbash this year with this very cool aviation scanner radio under their arm. Must be present to win, drawing takes place at 7P in the Press Tent. Find Sporty's Pilot Shop in Outdoor Space #260, just outside of Exhibit Hangar B, inside Hangar C, Booth #3147 located right across from ForeFlight or inside Hangar B at booth #2159.

X-Plane has also generously donated 10 full product keys for their latest (and greatest) version, X-Plane 11.
These will also be given away as door prizes. X-Plane will be prominently showcased at the Thrustmaster booth 2126 in Hangar B.

The Venue

Tuesday, July 24, 5:30 - 7:30PM in the EAA Press Tent.

You'll find the Press Tent just east of the Media Center, which is only steps away to the NE from the FAA control tower. Basically go to the tower, and then walk outbound on about the 025 radial, and look for the big white tent full of #avgeeks. They are easy to spot...they're the people holding all the devices and smiling a little wider than everyone else.

Special Thanks
